Azure Lakehouse & Secure Data Intake

A new Azure Lakehouse architecture with Bronze / Silver / Gold layers, plus a secure drag-and-drop upload flow that automates file ingestion and database processing, replacing manual handling with a repeatable, governed pipeline.

Domain

Enterprise data platform

Role

Lakehouse build & ingestion automation

Stack

Azure · Delta layers · Web Apps · Power BI

Context

Files arrived from multiple sources and had to be moved into databases and reports by hand. The process was slow, inconsistent, and hard to govern. The organization needed a modern, secure foundation for its analytics.

Problem

Manual ingestion is fragile: it depends on people remembering steps, offers no clear audit trail, and doesn't scale. The aim was a lakehouse with automated, secure intake and reliable downstream reporting.

Architecture

Secure upload: Azure Web Apps

Drag-and-drop intake, validated & authenticated

Bronze: raw

Files landed and retained as received

Silver: cleaned

Standardized, validated, database-ready

Gold: reporting

Curated tables feeding Power BI

Engineering
  • Bronze / Silver / Gold lakehouse layers on Azure
  • Secure drag-and-drop upload via Azure Web Apps
  • Automated file ingestion and database processing
  • Power BI reporting on the Gold layer
Outcome

Ingestion became a governed, automated flow instead of manual file handling, with a clear path from upload to trustworthy reporting.

Still moving files by hand?

Let's fix that. Secure, automated ingestion is usually the fastest win.
