Privacy statement

This statement explains what personal data MCC AI Automation handles when you use this website, why, and the rights you have. We keep data collection to a minimum.

Who is responsible

MCC AI Automation, run by Mário Carlos Chaves, based in Landgraaf, Limburg, Netherlands, is the controller for the data described here. You can reach us through Request Information, Start a Project, or Star. Those are different paths, not the same form.

What we collect

This site has three website forms: Request information, Start a project and Reviews. Request information asks for your name, email address, an optional company name, the topic and your message. Start a project asks for the same contact details plus the kind of project, its stage and a description; if you arrive from a demo, the demo's name is added so we know the context. Reviews are described below. There is no account to create, and nothing is sent until you press the form's send button. If you use Star, the question you type is processed as described in the Star section.

Why we use it

We use these details for one purpose: to read your inquiry and reply to it. The legal basis is your consent and taking steps at your request before a possible agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and (b)).

Who can see it

When you press send, the form goes to MCC's server, which checks it and forwards it by email to MCC's inbox, hosted by Google (Gmail). The email is delivered through an email-delivery service (Resend) or MCC's mail provider, and your email address is set as Reply-To so a reply goes straight back to you. The server keeps no copy: if a message cannot be delivered, the form tells you so and nothing is stored, so you can try again. Star's send buttons use the same route. The website is hosted on Vercel, which may process technical data such as IP addresses and request details in its logs to serve and secure the site. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets one functional cookie, MCC_LOCALE, to remember the language you are browsing in; it is kept for a year. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies, does not profile visitors, and uses no visitor analytics. Star keeps the current conversation, and a couple of display preferences such as where you moved it, in this browser's session storage. That is not a cookie, and it is cleared when you close the tab.

How long we keep it

We keep project inquiries only as long as we need them to handle your request and any follow-up, then delete them. Emails used to verify a review are kept only until the review is verified, then deleted. A published review stays on the site until you ask us to change or remove it. Hosting and security logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, object to its use, or request a copy. Use the Request information form on mccai.nl and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Client reviews

If you submit a review, the Reviews form sends it to MCC through our server, by the same email route as the other forms. Nothing is published automatically: a review appears on the site only after we check it by hand and you have given permission. Any email address you include is used only to verify the review, is never shown publicly, and is not added to the published data. You can ask us to change or remove your review at any time using Request information.

Star, the website receptionist

When you send Star a question, the text of that question, a short recent snippet of the conversation in this browser session, and limited page context (language, page, page type and, on a demo, its current state) are sent to MCC's server. The server retrieves approved public pages from this website and composes an answer from those sources and the conversation. Conversations are not stored. If MCC has configured a model provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google), the question, the conversation snippet and the retrieved excerpts may be sent to it so Star can phrase the reply; retrieved pages are treated as data, not instructions. Otherwise answers are composed on MCC's server without a third-party model. Rate limiting uses a short-lived in-memory count keyed by IP address. Star can also prepare a request, a project inquiry or a review from what you have told it; it sends nothing until you press its send button, and then uses the same route as the website forms. Do not paste passwords, API keys or sensitive personal information into Star.

Questions

For anything about your data or this statement, use the Request information form on this site. We do not publish a personal email address.
